My Lifesaver!!!

Well, hello world!  I am still around but so much has been going on in my life sometimes I need to just sit back and take it all in.

I am ecstatic to bring you an update from my two entries SERIOUSLY!!! and SERIOUSLY!!! Part 2.  This moment was so abstract to me like out of a text book.  The other day this happened:

Yes, ladies and gentleman that is Dr. Thorton the ER doctor that saved my life on February 12th!  My wife and I both had a chance to meet with her as well as the director of emergency services, and the director of security.  I was so so so nervous!  We received an apology from Security on how the whole situation was handled and a full investigation has occurred.  I was not a nuance after all!

Apparently, they now have a procedure in place in case a situation like mine happen again, the person will be directed to contact the Emergency Services Admin Office.  As my wife said yesterday, something bad has to happen for good to come out of it.

There was a lot of hugging and tears during the 20 minutes.  We sat and ruminated about the whole experience.  She could not believe to see how well I was doing and how much weight I lost.  I was a very unique case and she remembers that day clear as day.  This meeting met so much to me and helped to bring a little bit of closer to that part of my story.

Not only I am grateful for Dr. Thorton, I appreciate all of you, who have read my blogs, followed my blog, and even emailed me when I disappeared checking up on me.  I have so much more to share and I will blog more soon with other updates that are going on.

Thank You from the bottom of my heart!

  2. I’m so happy that there was an apology and that you had the opportunity to thank the doctor. After my boyfriends open heart surgery, when I had the opportunity to talk with the surgeon, I was almost speechless in my desire to say thank you. A note can’t convey the deep emotion that is felt in that situation! Yay!!!!

  3. I’m so excited you got to meet your life saver. Nothing was more rewarding and healing for me than this was in my recovery. So glad you got a good response and an apology!
